MN Boys Dominant Defender Class

Developing the Dominant Defender

Defense is played from the bottom up, starting with proper positioning, then active footwork, and lastly with the stick. This clinic is designed to help defensive middies, long-stick middies, and close defenders to improve on quickness, breaking down on ball, positioning off ball, driving on a ball-carrier’s hip, sliding technique, and throwing the right stick checks.  With dozens of high-repetition drills paired with classroom instruction, players will become confident on and off-ball defenders.

Coached by former Eastview Lacrosse Head Coach Tim Roche – Coach Roche’s former teams were known for stout defenses, only allowing double digit goals against  in 23 of his 178 game career, with countless individual defender earning All Conference, All Section, All State and All American Honors, and many having successful careers at the NCAA & MCLA levels.
